Blood Work

Almost all types of blood work is drawn in-house by certified phlebotomist using sterile disposable supplies. Besides drawing, we do several studies  in-house so that you have your result before you leave the office. These include: Lipid studies, HbA1c (diabetes test), clotting time (Coumadin patients), and several types of urine analysis.
X-Ray studies
We do our own X-Ray studied - common studies include chest X-Ray, abdominal X-Ray, sinus X-Ray, Back X-Ray that may include the c-spine, t=spine and lumbar spine and most joint X-Rays. These studies are read in-house but may include inputs from consulting radiologist - currently Summit Radiology group.
Cardiology / Vascular work-up
This include treadmill Echocardiograms, Carotid Doppler study, Peripheral artery study,  Stress test and 12 lead EKG, all done by certified technicians and nurses - and are reviewed by board certified physicians including consulting cardiologist at St.Joseph Hospital.
Lung studies
Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) are done by certified nurse to diagnose and monitor various lung diseases like Emphysema, Asthma, COPD, and industrial lung diseases. American Lng Association recommends that both COPD and Asthma patients get yearly PFT's done to monitor their lung health.
Bone Density screening
We use the latest Hologic whole-body Bone Density scanner with the new IVA technology. This allows better visualization of the vertebral column to diagnose Osteoporosis accurately and on time. Don't be misguided by a negative ankle study as it may not totally rule you out from having Osteoporosis!
